Jimmy Bullard signs for Crowd Network

16 April 2024

The former Premier League player has reunited with broadcasting legend John Fendley, aka Fenners, and they’re building a football club from scratch.

Right now they’ve got nothing. No kit, no stadium, no badge and no players… Tune into the podcast every week as they work out what they need at FC Bullard. There’ll be big names, there’ll be grassroot heroes. Sometimes it’s just the two of them chatting nonsense.

It’s a huge day for the Soccer AM fans out there. Saturday mornings haven’t been the same since Jimmy and Fenners signed off for the final time. The double act is back together, with something different to the standard football podcast.

This show is right in the sweet spot for Crowd Sports. FC Bullard joins an ever-growing list of hit sports shows with elite athletes and dedicated audiences. Geraint Thomas Cycling Club, Watts Occurring, Beef’s Golf Club, George Groves Boxing Club and most recently For The Love Of Rugby all stand out amongst the huge variety of podcasts in their sports.

Here’s what FC Bullard President Jimmy Bullard had to say:

I’ve always wanted to own a football club and doing it in podcast form makes perfect sense. It’s going to be a lot of fun and we can’t wait for our listeners to get involved and help us out along the way.

We want FC Bullard fans to be the biggest supporters group around. That’s what makes a hit sports podcast, loyal supporters and great content. This ain’t going to be your usual football club. We’ve seen that Crowd Network are the experts at bringing these things together with a lot of fun along the way.

FC Bullard Director of Football John Fendley said:

It’s great to be back working with Jimmy and this project is right up our street. It’s a really good way to talk about our love of the game, speak to interesting guests from all aspects of football culture – which we all love. We can’t wait to get started – we’ve got a kit to design, managers to interview and players to scout.

As self-appointed Director of Football I am looking forward to watching us grow. It’s going to be an exciting journey from where we are now – which is basically nothing – to one day becoming the biggest club on the planet. Why not
